Justin Bieber follows me - Celebs get on board Twitchange for Haiti

Okay he doesn't, but for $510 he will for 90 days. Or if I pay $2,325 : Justin Bieber will follow you on Twitter for a minimum of 90 days, will retweet one of your tweets and will send out a tweet including your @twitterhandle

That's nice. However if you aren't some easily-mind-controlled-bad-music-choosing-ten-year-old, you can choose to pay a multitude of celebrities for the same package here

This is all part of a charity launched today with celebrities on ebay auctioning promotion through their twitter accounts - Twitchange

What is TwitChange ? According to the official site it is the only global celebrity auction where Twitter users can bid to get three things: be followed by their favorite celebrity on Twitter, retweeted, or mentioned by them in a special tweet.

Here's an explanation from Eva

It's all for a good cause a charity for aHomeInHaiti.org. All proceeds from the ebay auctions go towards aHomeInHaiti.org to help finish rebuilding the Miriam Center - a facility that houses and educates children with cerebral palsy, severe autism, and other major life challenges and is one of the only facilities of its kind in Haiti.

If you win an auction your chosen celebrity will follow you on Twitter for a minimum of 90 days. However it is up to that celebrity to continue to follow you after that time, Some packages include a celebrity retweeting one of your tweets and an @mention in one of their tweets. (Could monetize Follow Fridays?)

The Charity auction states that it is for Fans of the celebrities, businesses that want to be mentioned to massive audiences or just the charitable types out there.

Stephen Fry is going for $520 right now,

Demi Moore (mega pkg) - $1,125

Nick Jonas (mega pkg) - $3,050

I was torn between bidding on Justin Bieber or Nick Jonas, so I ran a little twitalyzer @Twitalyzer is allowing me to compare @NickJonas and @justinbieber's use of Twitter: http://twitalyzer.com/compare.asp?u=NickJonas&u2=justinbieber

Might just go with one of the Jonas brothers merely for the slight increase in influence power. Although Justin is coming in with 5,262,429 followers and most of them consist of users spamming youtube and causing enough activity to warrant Justin his own server at Twitter. The choices I tell you!

Twitchange is a great example of celebrities putting those masses of followers to good use, one simple tweet by your celebrity choice could cause a massive growth for your existing twitter page or simply some brag rights, I have a plan in getting Kim Kardashian to retweet :rt : @vincenthaywood is hot, I want to marry him. It will cost me $1,125. So worth it.

Head over here to get involved in the auction or simply donate : http://twitchange.com/#

...and yes I mentioned Justin Bieber for the search indexing. ;-)
