The Lounge's Freshers Safari was a great success!
On Friday we held a trend safari to the University of Surrey to see 'Freshers in their natural habitat' in order to learn more about this demographic, the lifestyle of new students and their relationships with brands.
Spirits were high despite the pouring rain and we uncovered all sorts of interesting insights into the world of Freshers and students.
For example:
- Freshers don't have TVs anymore and watch online instead
- Even just an hour after the Freshers Fair, students struggle to remember the brands present
- Loads of Freshers had already met their housemates online through the University Facebook page
We took along a great team of brand, marketing and insight managers. With help of our faithful Safari Guides, Joe and Emily, it was a really fun and useful day.
We're turning the day's insights into a report including principles of how brands can resonate with this audience. If you'd like to learn more email Sara Gil, director at The Lounge: sara.gil@theloungegroup.com
