The Line Phone (video below) is, in essence, an ultra-sleek touch phone & therefore not wildly different but it's pretty damn awesome...
It won gold at the Furong Cup 2010 'Digital Product & Service Design Competition' (info via TNW)
Also worth checking out for some tech-geekery is Hitachi's gestural interface, unveiled last July, which removes the need of touch-screen altogether. Very Minority Report, it's been predicted that gestural interface computers will be a reality in our homes by 2015.
